Our Working Principles
The efforts undertaken by the Daarul Arqam team are founded upon these four fundamental principles that guide everything we do.

KHIDMAT
"Khidmat is selflesness; going out of our way to help others"
We believe in serving others without expecting anything in return, embodying the true spirit of Islamic charity and community service.

UKHUWAH
"Ukhuwah is about brotherhood and sisterhood and accepting and bonding with each other without being judgemental."
We foster strong bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, creating an inclusive community where everyone feels welcome and accepted.

IHSAAN
"Ihsaan is acting with fear of Allah as though He sees you."
We strive for excellence in all our actions, always mindful of Allah's presence and seeking His pleasure in everything we do.

KAMAAL
"Kamaal is devoting yourself to excellence."
We are committed to achieving excellence in our educational programs, community services, and spiritual guidance.
DAARUL ARQAM
Education is the heart and pulse of our mission. We strive to stimulate people through webinars, seminars, and ongoing courses to be better human beings.
Our Mission
Melbourne is the education state of Australia. We strive to stimulate people through webinars, seminars, and ongoing courses to be better human beings and to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of life and its challenges.
Community-Focused Approach
We have engaged with the local community and understand their immediate needs. We thereafter developed our services accordingly with education being our focus overshadowing each of the sub-divisions.

Our Journey
From humble beginnings in Dandenong Park to becoming a thriving community center, our journey reflects the power of faith, perseverance, and community support.
Starting with Jummah Prayers
Daarul Arqam Australia started in early 2019, praying Jummah prayers on the grass in Dandenong Park. Through the heat and rain we persevered and eventually we moved to a community hall during the winter.

Expanding Our Services
Within a few months Daarul Arqam under the leadership of Mufti Zeeyad Ravat, grew in its identity and membership, providing educational courses, wellbeing support, women's programs, revert care and da'wah, youth programs and of course welfare support to those most needy around the globe.
Going Digital During COVID
In the meantime, Ramadhan was upon us and so we conducted Taraweeh prayers and had our own fundraising events and iftars which brought us much needed funds. We then acquired a new rented premises in Hallam, a commercial property which was converted into a musallah, offices and classrooms and a purpose built studio.
Then Covid hit. DAA went online for the next year broadcasting lectures, guest speakers and panel discussions, shot from our new studios reaching thousands of views globally.

Our Vision for the Future
Today, the world has passed that speed bump and we are operating face to face, we ran several courses and conferences successfully in 2022 and consolidated our team of dedicated volunteers. We are now at the next stage of our journey, searching vigorously for a land to build our new home, a modern one stop shop, for our Islamic courses, a hostel for students and large masjid, a community hall, a sports hall and a library and café to boot.
Our vision will provide a unique service to the South East region, we also aim to service international programs. Come ride out this journey with us.
